These Ultimate Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring a creamy, cheesy filling with a hint of spice, all rolled up in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for parties or gatherings, these pinwheels are easy to make and disappear fast!
Ingredients
Puff Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed;
Cream Cheese Mixture:
8 oz cream cheese, softened; 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese; 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon; 2–3 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced; 1/4 tsp garlic powder; 1/4 tsp onion powder; 1/4 tsp salt; 1/8 tsp black pepper; 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and spread the jalapeño mixture evenly over it, leaving a small border on one edge. Roll up the pastry tightly into a log, starting from the opposite edge. Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels and place them flat on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
- You can also swap cheddar for pepper jack or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
- These pinwheels can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
