Ingredients
Scale
Salmon Foil Pack:
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 bunch of asparagus (trimmed)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon (thinly sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 teaspoons fresh dill (chopped)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tablespoon butter per packet for extra richness
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare foil packets: Cut 4 large sheets of aluminum foil. Place a salmon fillet in the center of each foil sheet. Divide the asparagus evenly and arrange next to each fillet.
- Season and assemble: Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and asparagus. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic, thyme, and dill. Top each fillet with lemon slices and a pat of butter if desired.
- Wrap and bake: Fold the foil over the salmon and asparagus to seal into packets. Bake for 18–20 minutes until salmon is cooked through and asparagus is tender.
- Serve: Open the foil packs carefully and serve the contents warm.
Notes
- For additional flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to each packet before sealing.
- These foil packs can also be cooked on the grill over medium heat for 12–15 minutes.
- Using parchment paper-lined foil makes cleanup easier.
