These festive Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful holiday dessert that combines the classic crispy texture of Rice Krispies with fun reindeer decorations made from candy eyes, M&Ms, and chocolate-covered pretzels. Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Grease an 8-inch round pan with cooking spray or butter to prevent the Rice Krispie mixture from sticking.
- Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they are fully melted and combined with the butter.
- Combine cereal and marshmallow mixture: Quickly remove the pot from heat and stir in the crispy rice cereal until the mixture is evenly combined. Transfer the mixture to the greased pan and press it down into an even layer. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature.
- Release and cut: Run a knife along the edges of the pan to loosen the treats. Place a cutting board on top of the pan and carefully flip it over to release the rice krispie circle onto the board. Slice the circle into 8 even triangle-shaped pieces.
- Melt white chocolate: Pour white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Decorate the reindeer: Use a small amount of melted white chocolate to adhere the candy eyes onto each reindeer treat. Attach M&Ms (one red and seven brown) to the pointed end of each triangle to create noses, and attach chocolate-covered pretzels at the back as antlers.
- Finish decorations: For an extra festive touch, spread a small amount of melted white chocolate between the pretzel antlers of each reindeer and sprinkle with festive sprinkles. Press down gently to ensure they stick. Allow the white chocolate to harden for 10-15 minutes at room temperature before serving.
