Description

These Peanut Butter Protein Brownies are a delicious and nutritious treat that is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth while also providing a good dose of protein. Made with wholesome ingredients, these brownies are gluten-free and can be easily customized to suit various dietary preferences.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • ½ cup chocolate protein powder
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Wet Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup almond milk

Optional:

  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or by greasing it lightly.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, applesauce, honey/maple syrup, vanilla extract, eggs, and almond milk. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Mix in protein powder, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Optional: Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the pan, spread evenly, and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • You can use almond butter or cashew butter as a substitute for peanut butter.
  • For a dairy-free option, use plant-based protein powder and non-dairy chocolate chips.
  • For fudgier brownies, slightly underbake and chill before serving.
