Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 Tbs minced onion
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 Tbs cider vinegar
- 2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- Pickles, to taste
- 6 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 12 slider buns
Topping
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 Tbs brown sugar
- 2 Tbs dijon mustard
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces, until it is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Simmer with Seasonings: Add the minced onion, water, beef bouillon cube, cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Simmer the mixture until the liquid has mostly evaporated, creating a flavorful loose meat filling.
- Assemble the Sliders: Arrange the bottoms of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the buns, then layer with pickles and place the cheese slices on top. Finish by placing the tops of the slider buns on the cheese.
- Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard until combined. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the slider buns to create a flavorful glaze as they bake.
- Bake to Finish: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the tops are golden and glazed.
Notes
- For a sharper flavor, use sharp cheddar cheese instead of American.
- You can substitute beef bouillon with beef broth if desired, adjusting water accordingly.
- To add a bit of heat, mix a pinch of cayenne pepper into the beef mixture.
- Allow the sliders to rest a few minutes after baking for easier serving.
- These sliders can be prepared ahead up to the assembly step and baked just before serving.
