Ingredients
Scale
Fruits & Vegetables
- 1 cup Mango (Peeled and chopped)
- 1 piece Habanero Pepper (Seeded, adjust quantity to taste)
- 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon Lime Juice (Fresh juice preferred)
Liquids & Sauces
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (Use gluten-free if needed)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Seasonings
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Start by peeling and chopping the ripe mango into small pieces. Next, seed and finely chop the habanero pepper, adjusting the quantity according to your preferred heat level. Mince the garlic cloves for an aromatic base.
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped mango, habaneros, honey, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and olive oil. Stir everything together to ensure the flavors mix well.
- Cook Together: Place the saucepan over medium heat and allow the mixture to simmer. Stir occasionally for about 15 minutes, letting the sauce thicken and all the flavors meld together until it’s beautifully fragrant and well combined.
- Blend Smooth: Once cooked, remove the saucepan from heat. Using an immersion blender, blend the sauce until smooth. If you prefer, you can transfer it to a countertop blender and blend, then return it to the pan for warming if necessary.
- Optional: Drizzle extra honey on top for a sweet garnish before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of habanero pepper to control the heat level of the sauce.

- The sauce pairs well with grilled meats, seafood, or as a dipping sauce for appetizers.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- For a thinner sauce, add a bit of water while cooking to reach desired consistency.
