Ingredients
Scale
Liquids
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz blue curaçao
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
Garnishes & Extras
- Lime wedges, for garnish
- Salt or sugar, for rimming (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Orange slices, for serving
- Blackberries, for serving
Instructions
- Rim the Glass: Begin by rimming your glass with salt or sugar if desired. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it in a plate of either salt or sugar to coat the edge.
- Prepare the Shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the silver tequila, Cointreau or triple sec, freshly squeezed lime juice, blue curaçao, and simple syrup.
- Shake the Cocktail: Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold, which should take about 15-20 seconds. This chills and mixes all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice cubes to keep it chilled.
- Garnish and Present: Garnish the drink with a lime wedge, an orange slice, and a few blackberries to add a spooky, magical touch perfect for festive occasions.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup according to taste.
- Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
- For a salt or sugar rim, chill the glass beforehand for a crisper coating.
- If you prefer a frozen margarita, blend the ingredients with ice instead of shaking.
- Substitute blue curaçao with other flavored liqueurs for different color variations.
