- 10 oz green candy melts
- 3 oz black candy melts
- Royal icing eyes
- Black jimmies sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Butter a 9″ x 13″ casserole dish thoroughly to prevent sticking.
- Melt Butter: In a large pot over low to medium heat, melt the unsalted butter gently, ensuring it does not burn.
- Melt Marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until they are fully melted and combined into a smooth mixture.
- Mix Cereal: Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispie cereal until all the pieces are coated evenly with the marshmallow mixture.
- Press Mixture: Transfer the sticky cereal mixture into the prepared casserole dish, pressing it down evenly with a spatula or buttered hands. Let it cool for about 30 minutes to set.

- Coat with Candy Melts: Using a double boiler, melt the green candy melts. Dip each treat into the melted green candy and coat them well. While still wet, sprinkle with black jimmies sprinkles to add texture and detail.
- Add Decorations: Place royal icing eyes onto each treat to create Frankenstein faces. Using the melted black candy melts, pipe stitch marks to mimic Frankenstein’s iconic look.
- Set and Serve: Allow the decorated treats to set completely until the candy coating hardens before serving.
Notes
- Use a double boiler or microwave in short bursts to safely melt the candy melts without scorching.
- Butter the utensil or hands slightly when pressing the cereal mixture to prevent sticking.
- Royal icing eyes can be substituted with edible googly eyes or hand-piped eyes.
- Store treats in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to 3 days.
