Description

Easy Fruit Smoothie Bowls are a delicious and refreshing way to start your day or enjoy a healthy snack. Made with frozen fruits like bananas, strawberries, mangoes, and peaches, blended with creamy coconut milk and sweetened with maple syrup and vanilla extract, these smoothie bowls offer a soft-serve ice cream texture that’s both satisfying and nutritious. Topped with your favorite fresh fruits, nuts, and seeds, they make for a versatile and customizable treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Smoothie Bowl Variations

  • 1 banana, quartered and frozen
  • 1 ½ cups strawberries, frozen
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 banana, quartered and frozen
  • 1 ½ cups mango & peaches, frozen
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 bananas, quartered and frozen
  • 2 cups mixed greens
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to blender: Place all your chosen smoothie ingredients into a high-speed blender. This includes your frozen fruits, coconut milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract if using. Ensure the blender jar is securely attached.
  2. Blend thoroughly: Blend on high speed for about 3 minutes. Pause occasionally to scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula to ensure everything mixes evenly. Continue blending until the mixture achieves a thick, soft-serve ice cream-like consistency.
  3. Serve and top: Pour the blended smoothie into a bowl. Add your preferred toppings such as sliced fresh fruit, nuts, nut butter, seeds, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, or granola to enhance texture and flavor before serving.

Notes

  • Using frozen fruits helps achieve the creamy, thick texture ideal for smoothie bowls.
  • You can substitute coconut milk with almond milk or other plant-based milks if preferred.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup or skipping it altogether if your fruits are ripe.
  • To keep the smoothie bowls extra cold, chill the serving bowls ahead of time.
  • For added protein, consider adding a scoop of protein powder or a spoonful of nut butter.
