- 1 envelope (3 tablespoons) taco seasoning
- 1 (10-oz) can Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles, drained
Cheese
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (or Mexican blend)
Wrapper
- 24 wonton wrappers
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and coat a standard muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the browned and drained ground beef with the taco seasoning and drained diced tomatoes with green chiles, mixing well to evenly distribute the flavors.
- Assemble Taco Cups: Line each muffin cup with one wonton wrapper. Add a spoonful of the taco filling, then sprinkle some shredded cheese. Add another wonton wrapper layer over the filling, followed by more taco mixture and finish with a final layer of cheese on top.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 11 to 13 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers turn golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to drain the ground beef well after cooking to avoid soggy taco cups.
- You can substitute the sharp cheddar cheese with a Mexican blend for added flavor variety.
- Use nonstick cooking spray or lightly brush wonton wrappers with oil to ensure crispiness.
- Serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.
- These taco cups can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
