Description

Instructions

  1. Prepare filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
  2. Assemble rolls: Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture near the bottom corner, then add 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.
  3. Seal and roll: Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper up over the filling, then fold the left and right sides inward. Continue rolling tightly upwards to the top corner, sealing the edge with a dab of water to keep the egg roll closed.
  4. Heat oil: In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use enough oil to submerge the egg rolls halfway for even frying.
  5. Fry rolls: Carefully place 2–3 egg rolls at a time into the hot oil. Fry for about 2–3 minutes per side or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
