Avocado Sauce Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2–4 tablespoons water, to thin as needed
Instructions
- Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor to ensure a smooth texture.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the Greek yogurt, fresh cilantro leaves, minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, ground cumin, sea salt, and black pepper to the blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend all ingredients until the sauce is creamy and smooth, pausing to scrape down the sides as necessary to ensure even blending.
- Adjust Consistency: Add water one tablespoon at a time and blend again until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Taste and Season: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed for balance and flavor depth.
- Store or Serve: Use the sauce immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days to preserve freshness.
Notes
