Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz), rind removed and chopped
- 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish or oven-safe skillet to prepare for baking.
- Prepare the biscuit pieces. Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters, then toss them with melted butter, dried thyme, and a pinch of salt to evenly coat.
- Arrange the biscuits. Arrange the buttered biscuit pieces around the outer edge of the baking dish or skillet, leaving the center open for the filling.
- Add brie and cranberry sauce. Place the chopped brie cheese in the center space and spoon the whole berry cranberry sauce on top of the brie to create a flavorful topping.
- Bake the dip. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm. Remove from the oven and serve the dip warm, encouraging guests to pull apart the biscuits and scoop up the creamy, sweet, and tangy dip.
Notes
- This dish is best served immediately while the cheese is warm and melty.
- You can use fresh thyme instead of dried for a brighter flavor.
- Whole berry cranberry sauce adds texture, but smooth cranberry sauce can be used if preferred.
- For a dairy-free variation, substitute brie with a plant-based cheese alternative and butter with a vegan spread.
- Adjust baking time slightly if using a different size or type of biscuit dough.
