Description

This Cranberry Brie Biscuit Dip is a warm, gooey appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy nights in. Soft, buttery biscuit pieces surround melted brie topped with tangy cranberry sauce, creating a delightful contrast of flavors and textures that guests can pull apart and dip into.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz), rind removed and chopped
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish or oven-safe skillet to prepare for baking.
  2. Prepare the biscuit pieces. Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters, then toss them with melted butter, dried thyme, and a pinch of salt to evenly coat.
  3. Arrange the biscuits. Arrange the buttered biscuit pieces around the outer edge of the baking dish or skillet, leaving the center open for the filling.
  4. Add brie and cranberry sauce. Place the chopped brie cheese in the center space and spoon the whole berry cranberry sauce on top of the brie to create a flavorful topping.
  5. Bake the dip. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm. Remove from the oven and serve the dip warm, encouraging guests to pull apart the biscuits and scoop up the creamy, sweet, and tangy dip.

Notes

  • This dish is best served immediately while the cheese is warm and melty.
  • You can use fresh thyme instead of dried for a brighter flavor.
  • Whole berry cranberry sauce adds texture, but smooth cranberry sauce can be used if preferred.
  • For a dairy-free variation, substitute brie with a plant-based cheese alternative and butter with a vegan spread.
  • Adjust baking time slightly if using a different size or type of biscuit dough.
