For the steak:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the stir-fry:
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 15–20 minutes.
- Stir-fry the steak: Heat oil in a skillet, stir-fry marinated steak until browned. Set aside.
- Sauté vegetables: In the same pan, sauté onions, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger.
- Make the sauce: Mix soy sauces, oyster sauce, sugar, pepper, and water. Pour into the pan.
- Combine and serve: Add steak back to the pan, toss to coat. Serve over rice.
