  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the stir-fry:

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water


Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Stir-fry the steak: Heat oil in a skillet, stir-fry marinated steak until browned. Set aside.
  3. Sauté vegetables: In the same pan, sauté onions, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Make the sauce: Mix soy sauces, oyster sauce, sugar, pepper, and water. Pour into the pan.
  5. Combine and serve: Add steak back to the pan, toss to coat. Serve over rice.
