Description

These Caramel Apple Jello Shots are a fun and festive adult treat perfect for parties. Combining the bright flavors of green apple vodka and syrup with a sweet caramel topping, these jello shots are visually striking with neon green coloring and offer a delicious burst of fruity and creamy caramel taste in every sip.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Shot Mixture

  • 3 Packages Gelatin
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Apple Vodka
  • 1/4 cup Torani Green Apple Syrup Flavoring
  • A few drops Neon Green Food Coloring Gel

Caramel Topping

  • 1 package Caramels (about 15 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: In a medium-sized bowl or small pitcher, pour the water and sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Allow it to bloom according to the package instructions, then stir well until fully combined and no lumps remain.
  2. Mix Liquids and Color: Add the apple vodka to the gelatin mixture and stir thoroughly. Next, add the Torani green apple syrup and mix again. Finally, add several drops of neon green food coloring gel and stir until the mixture reaches the desired vibrant color.
  3. Pour and Chill: Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into individual shot glasses. Place the glasses in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until the gelatin is completely set and firm.
  4. Melt the Caramel: Before serving, unwrap approximately 15 caramels and place them in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for 30 to 45 seconds, stopping every 15 seconds to stir until the caramels are smooth and melted without burning.
  5. Top and Serve: Remove the jello shots from the refrigerator and spoon the melted caramel over the tops of each shot. Allow the caramel to cool slightly and set. Some caramel may drip down the sides—this adds to the appeal. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • The gelatin must bloom properly to ensure a smooth, firm jello shot.
  • Adjust the food coloring gradually to reach your preferred shade of neon green.
  • Use a microwave-safe dish and stir the caramels frequently while melting to prevent burning.
  • Keep the jello shots refrigerated until serving for best texture and freshness.
  • Caramel topping can be warmed just before serving to maintain its drizzle consistency.
