Description

Blue Cotton Candy Lemonade is a whimsical and refreshing beverage combining the tartness of fresh lemon juice with the sweet, playful flavor of cotton candy syrup. Served over ice and garnished with lemon slices and fluffy cotton candy, this drink offers a fun, interactive experience perfect for warm days or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • Ice (Lots)
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups Cotton Candy Snow Cone Syrup
  • 10 ounces Cotton Candy
  • Additional lemons for garnish
  • Straws (two per serving, one for sipping and one for spearing cotton candy)

Instructions

  1. Add Ice: Fill a 3-quart pitcher generously with ice to chill the lemonade and keep it refreshingly cool.
  2. Add Water: Pour 6 cups of cold water into the pitcher over the ice, creating the base of your lemonade.
  3. Juice the Lemons: Using an electric citrus juicer or manual effort, squeeze fresh lemons to extract 1 1/2 cups of juice. Add this fresh lemon juice to the pitcher for a bright, tart flavor.
  4. Mix in Syrup: Pour 1 1/2 cups of Cotton Candy Snow Cone Syrup into the pitcher and stir well to combine all ingredients evenly.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Pour the lemonade into glasses, garnish each with a lemon slice on the rim or inside the glass. Add two straws per glass: one for drinking and another to hold a fist-sized piece of cotton candy above the glass. The cotton candy should not touch the lemonade directly to avoid immediate dissolution. Let guests add the cotton candy to their drinks when ready for a fun, sweet twist.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor and natural tartness.
  • Keep the cotton candy separate until ready to serve as it dissolves instantly on contact with the lemonade.
  • Use candy apple sticks or toothpicks to spear the cotton candy for easy serving and presentation.
  • Adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of cotton candy syrup according to your taste.
  • This recipe serves approximately 9 to 10 servings.
