Batter:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Breadcrumbs:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Coat cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Bake: Arrange coated florets on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Make sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a bowl.
  6. Coat cauliflower: Toss baked cauliflower with sauce until coated.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use vegan mayo and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • To make it gluten-free, substitute gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
