Description

Delight in these easy-to-make Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs – bite-sized pockets filled with sweet apple pie filling, encased in flaky biscuit dough, air fried until golden and crispy, then coated in cinnamon sugar for a perfect dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Apple Pie Bombs

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Country Biscuits (10 pieces per can) or 1 can Grands Biscuits
  • 1 cup roughly chopped apple pie filling
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F to ensure an even cooking temperature for the apple pie bombs.
  2. Prepare Biscuits: Roll each biscuit out into a 4-inch diameter circle to create enough surface area for filling.
  3. Fill and Shape: Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling in the center of each biscuit circle, then fold over and pinch the edges tightly to seal. Roll each filled biscuit gently into a ball shape.
  4. Arrange in Basket: Place the shaped bombs into the air fryer basket with some space in between each, allowing heat to circulate properly.
  5. Air Fry: Cook the bombs in the air fryer for 5-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Coat with Butter and Sugar: Immediately after cooking, dip the hot bombs in melted butter, then roll them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to coat thoroughly.

Notes

  • Use canned apple pie filling for convenience or substitute with your own homemade apple filling.
  • Ensure the biscuits are sealed well to prevent filling from leaking during cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even air circulation and crisping.
  • You can adjust the cinnamon sugar amount to your taste preference.
  • Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
