Ingredients
Scale
Apple Pie Bombs
- 2 cans Pillsbury Country Biscuits (10 pieces per can) or 1 can Grands Biscuits
- 1 cup roughly chopped apple pie filling
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F to ensure an even cooking temperature for the apple pie bombs.
- Prepare Biscuits: Roll each biscuit out into a 4-inch diameter circle to create enough surface area for filling.
- Fill and Shape: Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling in the center of each biscuit circle, then fold over and pinch the edges tightly to seal. Roll each filled biscuit gently into a ball shape.
- Arrange in Basket: Place the shaped bombs into the air fryer basket with some space in between each, allowing heat to circulate properly.
- Air Fry: Cook the bombs in the air fryer for 5-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Coat with Butter and Sugar: Immediately after cooking, dip the hot bombs in melted butter, then roll them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to coat thoroughly.
Notes
- Use canned apple pie filling for convenience or substitute with your own homemade apple filling.
- Ensure the biscuits are sealed well to prevent filling from leaking during cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even air circulation and crisping.
- You can adjust the cinnamon sugar amount to your taste preference.
- Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
